As life as we know comes to a halt, one truth exposes itself: that healthcare workers are the glue that holds society together. As pressure mounts, remember, you were made for a time such as this. While the world teaches us acute compassion so that we are hailed heroes by society, long before Covid-19, you were teaching us chronic empathy for God’s people. You are our unsung heroes. When you came into this profession, you chose others before self. Even in the most challenging of times, you are still choosing others before self. We see you. If that doesn’t parallel Jesus choosing us before we even knew we needed to be chosen, perhaps nothing will. Keep going. All of the world waits with bated breath for the day this is over. It’s coming. Thank you for all you have done and have yet to do. We are praying for you.
