In Honour of Douglas Thompson Wylie
Affectionately known as “The Irish General”
We are blessed to honour the remarkable life of Douglas Thompson Wylie.
Douglas, affectionately known as “The Irish General” moved to South Africa (at the age of 80) with his beautiful wife Lyn twelve years ago, to build church alongside his beloved daughter Lucinda & Phil, Abbey, Bella & Zac. Douglas was our faithful ‘doorkeeper’ who loved to welcome people into church every Sunday at our Century City location. Douglas and Lyn impacted and loved many couples through marriage preparation and journeyed with countless people in the life of church. Douglas loved Jesus and believed in the Church. We love him and will remember him always.
“Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth. For you died to this life, and your real life is hidden with Christ in God.“
