These Terms and Conditions (“the Terms and Conditions”) govern your (“the User”) use of the Hillsong Africa Foundation (“Provider”) website located at the domain name hillsongafrica.com (“the Website”). By accessing and using the Website, the User agrees to be bound by the Terms and Conditions set out in this legal notice. The User may not access, display, use, download, and/or otherwise copy or distribute Content obtained on the website for marketing and other purposes without the consent of the Provider.
Online Donations
The Hillsong Africa Foundation aims to allocate donations made through its Online Giving Portal on www.hillsongafrica.co.za to a project specified by the user. However the Board of Trustees holds the right to allocate any donations received to where they deem necessary.
HAF holds the right to allocate donation income to overhead, administration and fundraising costs in line with international recognised NGO standards.
Acceptance of any contribution, gift or grant is at the discretion of the Hillsong Africa Foundation. The Hillsong Africa Foundation will not accept any gift unless it can be used or expended consistently with the purpose and mission of the Hillsong Africa Foundation.
No irrevocable gift, whether outright or life-income in character, will be accepted if under any reasonable set of circumstances the gift would jeopardize the donor’s financial security.
The Hillsong Africa Foundation will refrain from providing advice about the tax or other treatment of gifts and will encourage donors to seek guidance from their own professional advisers to assist them in the process of making their donation.
The Hillsong Africa Foundation will accept donations of cash or publicly traded securities. Gifts of in-kind services will be accepted at the discretion of the Hillsong Africa Foundation.
Certain other gifts, real property, personal property, in-kind gifts, non-liquid securities, and contributions whose sources are not transparent or whose use is restricted in some manner, must be reviewed prior to acceptance due to the special obligations raised or liabilities they may pose for Hillsong Africa Foundation.
The Hillsong Africa Foundation will provide acknowledgments to donors meeting tax requirements for property received by the charity as a gift. However, except for gifts of cash and publicly traded securities, no value shall be ascribed to any receipt or other form of substantiation of a gift received by Hillsong Africa Foundation.
The Hillsong Africa Foundation will respect the intent of the donor relating to gifts for restricted purposes and those relating to the desire to remain anonymous. With respect to anonymous gifts, the Hillsong Africa Foundation will restrict information about the donor to only those staff members with a need to know.
The Hillsong Africa Foundation will not compensate, whether through commissions, finders' fees, or other means, any third party for directing a gift or a donor to the Hillsong Africa Foundation.
Electronic Communications
By using this Website or communicating with the Provider by electronic means, the user consents and acknowledges that any and all agreements, notices, disclosures, or any other communication satisfies any legal requirement, including but not limited to the requirement that such communications should be in writing.
E-Commerce & Privacy
The Website hillsongafrica.com sells event tickets, registrations and donations online. The use of any product or service bought from this Website is at the purchaser’s risk. The purchaser/ user indemnifies and holds the Provider harmless against any loss, injury or damages which may be sustained as a result of using the products sold on the Website.
