Meet Kornelius, one of our incredible international cyclists from Germany who participated in the Cape Town Cycle Tour race with the HAF team to raise funds for the Gugulethu Innovation Hub. We asked him why he chose to ride for this cause: 

“Only together as a team we can reach our goal of establishing the Innovation Hub in Gugulethu and it was a privilege for me to be part of this race for such an incredible cause.
My highlight was when Brent, who organised everything for the HAF team, gave me his bike after my own bike broke down after only six kilometers into the race. He was absolutely selfless and allowed me to take his place, even though he had been training for this day for the last few months. This made it clear to me again that we’re all in this together as a team. We didn’t try to prove anything but we were giving our all for one common cause – our dream of the Innovation Hub. And I want to continue to push towards making this dream a reality!”
